ADS Laser Cutting is a full-service metalwork specialist, offering laser cutting, folding, fabrication, finishing, and assembly services. They provide bespoke to volume sheet metal solutions for customers across engineering, transport, infrastructure, and manufacturing industries. Operating from an 87,000 sq. ft facility and employing over 100 people, ADS combines modern equipment with robust processes and experienced teams to deliver consistent quality, lead times, and service. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Internal Sales & Account Executive to support the development of customer relationships, quote conversions and contribute to the long-term success of the business. For the right individual, this role offers a clear development pathway into a Sales Account Manager position, supported by structured training, exposure to customer accounts, and measurable performance milestones.

Role Profile

The Internal Sales & Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue through the effective conversion of enquiries and quotations into confirmed orders. The role focuses on proactive follow up of quotations, management of live & dormant accounts, ownership of inbound leads, and maintaining accurate CRM data to provide clear pipeline visibility. This position is critical in supporting the wider Sales function by ensuring day to day sales activity is executed consistently, efficiently, and in line with agreed sales processes. The role carries clear performance expectations and measurable KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quotation & Enquiry Conversion: Prepare, issue, and follow up on customer quotations in a timely and professional manner. Proactively chase outstanding enquiries to maximise conversion rates. Ensure all follow up activity is planned, logged, and actioned daily.
  • Account Management: Reactivate dormant accounts through structured outbound contact. Identify opportunities to increase order frequency and value. Escalate higher value or strategic opportunities where appropriate.
  • RM & Sales Process Ownership: Maintain accurate, complete, and update records of all sales activity within HubSpot. Ensure all enquiries, quotations, follow-ups, and outcomes are correctly logged. Support data quality initiatives, including duplicate management and record hygiene.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a first point of contact for inbound sales enquiries. Build professional and effective working relationships with customers. Handle customer issues or objections promptly and in line with company standards. Take a customer first approach when handling all enquiries.
  • Reporting & Performance Management: Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and account progress. Participate fully in one to one meetings, performance reviews, and development discussions. Take ownership of personal performance against agreed KPIs.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

Essential:

  • Experience in a B2B office based role (sales, account management, customer service, or sales administration).
  • Understanding of the end to end sales process, including handling enquiries, preparing quotations, following up, and converting opportunities into confirmed orders.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships, manage enquiries, handle objections, and resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently, with structured planning and follow-up of sales activities.
  • Confident in using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and other office software, with a focus on maintaining accurate, up to date records and data quality.

Desirable:

  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or sheet metal environments.
  • Experience within B2B Sales (2 years).
