Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Dust & Fume Extraction Installation Engineer to join their team.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding role for an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and delivering quality installations. You will be responsible for installing dust and fume extraction systems at customer sites across the UK, leading installations from start to finish, supervising an installation assistant and acting as the main point of contact on site. The role involves regular travel, overnight stays and occasional weekend work to meet project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, fit and assemble dust and fume extraction systems to the highest standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and installation plans.
- Check materials and equipment are ready prior to installation.
- Site measure ductwork and components for manufacture when required.
- Manage installation projects efficiently and safely.
- Identify and resolve installation issues and site challenges.
- Liaise professionally with customers and other contractors on site.
- Carry out commissioning checks, airflow testing and snagging activities.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety requirements, risk assessments and method statements.
- Complete site surveys, job sheets, mileage records and installation documentation accurately.
- Maintain company equipment and complete required safety inspections.
- Support, train and mentor installation assistants.
- Provide technical support to other engineers when required.
- Undertake site management responsibilities when requested.
