MADE Careers is working with a globally recognised architecture studio seeking a Housing Architect to join its London team.

Working within an established residential team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of large scale housing and mixed-use developments across London and the wider UK.

The practice is particularly interested in architects with around 3 - 5 years experience bringing a strong understanding of multi-unit residential design, placemaking and the complexities of delivering housing at scale.

This is an opportunity to work on significant mixed tenure schemes within a design led environment, helping shape sustainable neighbourhoods and thoughtfully considered places for people to live.

The Role

You will work across a range of residential and mixed-use developments, supporting projects from early design stages through to planning and technical delivery.

Working closely with senior team members, consultants and local authorities, you will contribute to the development of housing led schemes that balance design quality, buildability, sustainability and commercial viability.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of large scale mixed tenure housing schemes
  • Produce high quality architectural information and coordinated Revit models
  • Support planning submissions, design reports and presentation materials
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors and wider project teams
  • Ensure projects respond to London housing policy, planning guidance and residential standards
  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable, commercially viable and well resolved housing developments
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams

Requirements

  • Qualified Architect, overseas qualified candidates will also be considered.
  • Strong experience across UK residential architecture, particularly housing-led projects
  • Experience working on large scale residential schemes, ideally within London
  • Understanding of housing typologies, placemaking and residential design standards
  • Knowledge of London Plan policy and residential delivery
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Collaborative and proactive approach
