The practice works across large-scale residential and mixed-use developments, with a strong focus on concept design, feasibility, and early-stage project strategy.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the front end of design - developing intelligent proposals that respond to place, policy, and community needs—while also collaborating closely with directors and clients to shape the project vision.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead projects through RIBA Stages 0–3, from feasibility to concept and planning submission
- Develop strategic, site-responsive residential masterplans and typologies
- Prepare compelling design narratives, visuals, and early-stage presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate with consultants, planners, and internal teams to shape robust planning strategies
- Contribute to competitions, bids, and client pitches alongside studio leadership
- Help establish design standards and support junior team members through mentoring
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years post-Part 3 experience (or equivalent) with a strong early-stage project portfolio
- Proven experience working on large-scale residential or mixed-use housing schemes
- Confident in concept design, feasibility studies, and early planning packages
- Strong communicator, comfortable leading client meetings and presenting design intent
- Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp or Rhino a plus
- A portfolio that demonstrates rigour, clarity, and contextual design thinking
- UK-based, with full right to work
Why This Role?
- Shape the front-end strategy of residential and mixed-use developments
- Work closely with senior leadership in a collaborative and supportive environment
- Enjoy autonomy and ownership while helping influence design direction and quality
- Be part of a studio that values critical thinking, context-driven architecture, and social purpose
- Benefit from a flexible, hybrid working model that respects life outside the studio
