MADE Careers is working closely with an internationally recognised architecture practice to appoint an Associate Director within its London team. The studio delivers large scale projects across the UK and Europe and is looking to strengthen its leadership team with someone who combines strong project delivery, client management and team leadership with a forward thinking approach to digital workflows.
Following a recent internal restructure, this role will work directly alongside a Director, supporting a major client account and helping drive performance, efficiency and growth across the team.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing position with responsibility across project delivery, team management and client relationships. Working closely with a Director, you will lead complex projects, oversee multidisciplinary teams and act as a key point of contact for both clients and consultants. Alongside delivery, you will play an important role in shaping how projects are run, embracing digital tools, automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency, consistency and project performance.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect operating at Associate or Associate Director level
- Strong experience leading and delivering large-scale projects within architecture, industrial experience beneficial but not essential
- Confident managing clients, consultants and multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects
- Highly proficient in Revit, with a strong understanding of digital delivery workflows
- Interest in automation, AI and emerging technologies that improve project delivery and team efficiency
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to balance programme, quality and commercial objectives
- Experience leading and mentoring teams, creating a positive and collaborative working environment
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of project performance, resourcing and delivery
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions focused, with a collaborative leadership style
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build long term client relationships
