We’re working with a globally recognised, design led architecture studio to appoint a Director of Design Technology & Innovation within its London team. This is a senior leadership role with influence across the studio, within an internationally active practice delivering complex, large scale commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. At a key point in its evolution, the studio is placing real focus on how technology, data and emerging tools are embedded into design, delivery and the wider business, offering a genuine opportunity to shape how the practice operates at a global level.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position operating at the intersection of architecture, technology and business. You will take ownership of design technology strategy across the practice, defining how digital tools, AI and workflows are embedded into everyday project delivery. The role has real influence, setting direction, guiding decision making and ensuring technology meaningfully influences how projects are designed, delivered and won. Working closely with senior leadership, you will shape how the studio approaches design, delivery and performance, acting as a key voice in how the practice evolves. You will also be a visible presence within the studio, helping to lead conversations around innovation, delivery and the future of design. This role will suit someone who brings a broader perspective across design, technology and business.
Requirements
- Operating at Director or senior leadership level within design technology, computational design or a related field
- Background in architecture, with a strong understanding of project delivery at scale
- Proven track record leading and implementing practice-wide digital strategies
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change across multiple teams
- Strong knowledge of tools such as Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and emerging AI workflows
- Commercial awareness, with an understanding of how technology supports performance, efficiency and growth
