MADE Careers is partnering with a globally recognised architecture and design practice seeking a Communications & PR Coordinator to join its London studio. This is an opportunity to join one of the industry's most internationally connected design businesses, working closely with senior leadership to shape communications, media engagement and thought leadership activity across a diverse portfolio of projects and global markets. Suited to a communications or PR professional looking to further develop their career within the built environment, the role offers broad exposure across PR, content creation, social media, awards and brand communications, working closely with senior leaders and project teams across the practice.
The Role
This is a broad and varied role suited to an experienced communications professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands on delivery. You will play a key role in delivering PR campaigns, managing media relationships, supporting social media activity and helping create compelling content that raises the profile of the practice across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the practice's communications and PR strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media contacts and industry stakeholders
- Draft and coordinate press releases, project announcements, thought leadership pieces and media content
- Support senior leadership with media opportunities, interviews and public facing activity
- Assist in the development of PR campaigns, events and profile raising initiatives
- Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities for increased visibility
- Coordinate social media activity across platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram
- Support internal communications and staff engagement initiatives
- Coordinate awards submissions and industry recognition opportunities
- Produce internal newsletters and communications content
- Work closely with design and graphics teams to ensure consistency across all communications
Requirements
- Previous experience within communications, PR or marketing, ideally within architecture, design, property or the built environment
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills
- Experience supporting PR campaigns and media relations activity
- Understanding of social media platforms and content planning
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign
- Interest in architecture, design, cities and the built environment
