MADE Careers is working with a globally recognised architecture, urbanism and design practice to appoint a Head of Interiors within its London studio. The practice is looking for an experienced design leader to oversee and grow its interiors team, working closely with the architectural leadership group across a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects. Combining design leadership, client engagement and team development, this role offers the opportunity to help shape both projects and the future direction of the interiors offer within the practice.
The Role
- Working alongside senior architects and sector leaders, you will champion design quality, lead project teams and help strengthen the interiors capability across the business.
- You will play a key role in developing client relationships, mentoring designers and contributing to the continued growth of the interiors team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the interiors team within the London studio
- Provide creative direction across a diverse range of interior architecture and design projects
- Work closely with architectural leadership to shape project vision and design outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and collaborators
- Lead project teams from concept through to delivery
- Contribute to pitches, presentations and business development initiatives
- Mentor and develop designers across the team
- Collaborate closely with architecture, urban design and workplace specialists
- Help strengthen the profile and positioning of the interiors offer across the practice
Requirements
- Significant experience within a leading interior design, interior architecture or multidisciplinary design practice
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality workplace, hospitality, residential or mixed-use interiors
- Revit experience would be highly advantageous
- Proven experience leading creative teams and client relationships
- Excellent design, presentation and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of spatial design, user experience and brand-led environments
- Commercial awareness and experience contributing to business development activity
- Passion for interiors, design culture and creating meaningful experiences through space
