MADE Careers is working with an internationally respected practice to appoint a Head of Communications and PR to join its London studio. This is a senior communications role within a globally recognised design practice operating across Europe and Asia. The studio has an established reputation for innovation in architecture, sustainability and urban strategy, supported by an in-house research arm and a strong international presence. With projects spanning the UK and UAE, including landmark commercial, residential and civic buildings, the practice is looking for a strategic communications lead to strengthen brand positioning, manage media relationships and shape how the studio presents itself globally.
This role is coming in at senior leadership level and will play a key part in reputation management, external communications strategy and high-profile announcements.
The Role- Develop and deliver an integrated PR and Communications strategy aligned with business objectives
- Shape and protect the studio’s brand positioning across global markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors and key media contacts
- Lead on press releases, media statements, speeches, interviews and thought leadership content
- Prepare senior leadership for media engagement and public-facing opportunities
- Design and execute creative PR campaigns to strengthen brand awareness and sector visibility
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment, advising leadership accordingly
- Coordinate closely with in-house creative and marketing teams to ensure consistency of messaging and visual identity
- Manage external PR agencies where appropriate
- Oversee social media presence across platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram (plus relevant international channels)
- Lead internal communications across the studio
- Degree qualified in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or related field
- 7+ years’ experience in PR, with at least 3 - 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity
- Background in architecture, design, property or a related creative industry preferred
- Strong track record delivering multichannel PR campaigns
- Confident handling high-profile announcements and complex or sensitive matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable operating at senior leadership level
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Microsoft Word & PowerPoint
- Social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, HubSpot or similar)
- LinkedIn, Instagram and relevant international platforms
- Analytics tools such as Google Analytics and PR measurement software
