We’re working exclusively with a design focused architecture and built environment studio in London that’s looking to appoint a Bid Manager to lead their bid and business development efforts. This is a crucial role that sits at the heart of how the practice presents itself to clients, helping to shape submissions, refine messaging and win impactful work. The successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively across the business, building relationships with Directors, project teams and external partners, and elevating the quality and consistency of bid submissions across the studio.

Role

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, including EOIs, PQQs, ITTs and tender submissions.
  • Work closely with directors, project teams and technical staff to develop clear, compelling bid narratives.
  • Coordinate and edit bid content, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with brand and design thinking.
  • Maintain and develop bid templates, case studies, CV libraries and supporting collateral.
  • Oversee scheduling and deadlines for all live bid activity.
  • Support broader business development initiatives where relevant (e.g., presentations, interviews, shortlist responses).

About You

  • Previous experience in a Bid Manager, Bid Coordinator or Business Development role (ideally in architecture, design, construction or a related built-environment sector).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with calm and control.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and design teams.
  • Interest in architecture, design quality and creative practice culture.

Tools & Systems

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience managing content libraries and shared document systems.
  • Familiarity with CRMs or bid tracking systems is a plus.
