Made By Mortals (MBM) are looking for critical friends to help support us with the launch of our new five-year business plan and strategy. We’re looking for people with expertise and a passion for social change through the arts.

About Made By Mortals - MBM are a not-for-profit arts organisation based in Tameside, Greater Manchester. We ‘bring lived experience to life’ through audio stories, film, music, theatre and interactive workshops. MBM co-produce this work with University researchers, partners who work in health and care, professional artists and diverse groups of people with a broad range of lived experience. Our mission is to empower people to use their creativity and lived experience to make life happier, healthier, and fairer for all.

Commitment and role - MBM is at an exciting period of growth and will be launching our new five-year business plan later in 2026. Paul and Andy, Directors of MBM, are looking for a small team of advisors to join a task and finish group that will help critique and strength test this strategy and plan prior to its implementation. The group will come together for three in person meetings between April and July 2026. We are particularly interested in people who have experience of leading an arts organisation or have skills in finance, marketing or business development.

This is a voluntary role with travel expenses and lashings of tea, coffee and biscuits included! If you’re interested, please drop Paul or Andy an email before the end of February 2026, and we’ll meet for a chat to discuss further.
