The role
We’re looking for an organised and knowledgeable digital project manager able to manage multiple Shopify projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met. Reporting to the Delivery Lead, you will own multiple client accounts and take the lead on a combination of retainers and new build projects. You will be a main point of contact for client stakeholders and responsible for receiving briefs, and translating these into deliverables. You will be involved in scoping tasks alongside the delivery lead and production teams (developers and designers), assigning them to the right team members. You are expected to monitor progress, and work to ensure that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard. We are passionate about providing best-in-class service to our clients so our team are encouraged to build a deep knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem through dedicated learning time.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget
- Schedule projects and tasks based on client deadlines
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and key project participants
- Stay aware of client goals and strategies to ensure projects align with their business priorities
- Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully
- Assign work to the production team based on skills and expertise
- Optimise project deliverables, schedule, and budgeting
- Keep the project team focused on the end goal
Essentials to bring to the role:
- 2 years in a digital project management role or similar
- Knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem inc. apps
- Demonstrable problem-solving project management experience and skills
- Knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies such as agile and waterfall
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Strong organisational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana
Desirable:
- Qualifications in project management, computer science, Shopify etc. is desirable ie. APM, PMPA, Shopify Verified Skills
