Work Format : 3 or 4 days in the office, one/two days WFH. Please note, first month will be full-time in the office for onboarding.

Role Overview

The Digital Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Digital Executive across all aspects of e-commerce and online product merchandising. This role focuses on managing the online art catalogue, optimising the digital customer journey, and ensuring that the presentation of artworks aligns with Maddox Gallery’s premium brand standards. You’ll work cross-functionally with Research, Artist Liaison, and Sales Teams to bring the online gallery experience to life and support digital revenue growth.

Responsibilities/Requirements include:

E-Commerce & Website Management

  • Maintain and update the online store, ensuring accuracy of artwork listings, artist information, pricing, and availability. Utilising Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign to improve product merchandising where needed.
  • Optimise product categories, filters, and navigation to improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Upload and manage relevant website content, including news articles, artist pages, and exhibition pages, in line with gallery activity and marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency in product presentation and support digital storytelling aligned with our luxury positioning.

Performance & Optimisation

  • Use analytic tools to monitor performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Support A/B testing and UX enhancements to optimise conversion rates and average order value.
  • Assist in planning and executing digital campaigns, product drops, and private launches.
  • Support CRM initiatives by identifying opportunities for personalised product journeys.

Affiliate Platform Assistance (Artsy & Artnet)

  • Contribute to the daily management of listings and campaigns, ensuring they are accurate and engaging.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and assist the Digital Executive in formulating a strategy for the channels.
  • Identify trends through completing the day-to-day tasks on the channel and suggest optimisations which will further improve Maddox’s performance on the platforms.
  • Training and templates will be provided to ensure onboarding is efficient and aligned with our existing strategy.

Marketing Analytics

  • Assist the Marketing Team with the tracking and measuring of Maddox campaigns, exhibitions, and individual channels.
  • Learn to use tools such as GA4, HotJar and Semrush to build confidence in reporting and insights.
  • Support the Marketing Team where appropriate.
  • Communicate regularly with Artist Liaison, Research, and Sales Teams to ensure a unified digital experience.

Candidate Technical Skills

  • Interest or experience in SEO, CRO and e-comm marketing, with a data-driven approach to growth and performance optimisation.
  • Curiosity or working familiarity with analytics tools such as GA4, SemRush, and HotJar.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and Hubspot is a plus (training provided).
  • Experience with Shopify is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally experienced in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
  • Enthusiastic positive attitude and a team player.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and help make informed decisions.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Support Progression

  • Full onboarding and training provided on systems and platforms during the first month.
  • Regular check-ins with the Digital Executive and feedback loops to support learning.
  • Defined goals for months 1, 3, and 6 to help track development and contribution.
  • Potential for contract extension or permanent role based on performance and business need.
