AVENIR GLOBAL are looking for an enthusiastic and thoughtful individual to join our group finance team on a 3 day per week basis. The EMEA Payroll Manager will be responsible for the payroll function across the UK, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium and the Middle East. This role will report to the EMEA FD as well as working closely with the Talent teams across the brands within the EMEA regions.

PART TIME ROLE - 3 days per week
The Role – Primary Responsibilities
- Payroll processing for all countries working with our payroll agencies or in-house software.
- Deliver payroll within agreed SLAs, ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with legislation, internal policy, processes and controls.
- Work with the Talent teams to facilitate all required month-to-month payroll changes (including new hires, leavers, leave, bonuses, benefits and deductions).
- Complete monthly reconciliations for sign-off by the FD/CFO.
- Investigate, reconcile and correct payroll data issues, discrepancies, and errors.
- Post payroll journals to the finance system following completion of monthly payroll.
- Support the payroll, employee tax and pension setup of any new jurisdictions, collaborating with external vendor(s) as well as internal teams.
- Upload pension contribution reports monthly and assist on project to consolidate UK pension providers.
- Be the main point of contact for employee payroll queries.
- Work on project to consolidate UK payroll to one external agency.
- Stay updated and inform the Finance Senior Leadership team with changes in taxation, pensions, and national insurance legislation across all regions.
- Assist in ensuring HR system and salary budgets are correctly and updated with all changes.
- Assist with other tasks/projects within the finance team.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
- A professional qualification in Payroll or high-level demonstrable experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, pensions, and accounting principles.
- Extensive understanding of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, including redundancy, SMP, and SSP.
- Experience of payroll in Belgium would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation & strong time management skills.
- Strong understanding & experience using Excel.
- Pro-active attitude.
- Ability to work well in a close-knit team.
