The Role: Over the past three years, Madano's Healthcare Practice has grown significantly to become one of the UK's largest focused healthcare communications. To support our continued growth, we're looking for an Account Manager to join our team. This person should have at least three years' commercial healthcare communications experience, with some time spent in a consultancy setting.
- An Account Manager is experienced in the day-to-day management of multiple accounts across different therapy areas and projects.
- We are looking for a motivated leader who has experience in supporting teams to deliver high quality work that meets the needs of our clients.
- The candidate must be able to show their expertise in promotional activities including product launches, brand positioning, omnichannel and market access strategies.
- Experience creating and implementing promotional campaigns and materials including congress activities and omnichannel campaigns.
- Ability to coordinate with our internal Insights, Digital and Creative teams to identify audiences, develop channel and content strategy, and understand metrics to determine success and future optimisation.
- Possesses strong attention to detail and an ability to proofread/QC documents at each stage of development.
- Ability to support junior team members and extended team members through providing comprehensive briefs and reviewing materials.
- Understanding of industry regulations, at a local and international level, to ensure projects are compliant.
- A knowledge of different pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and the broader landscape in which they operate.
Client service: Starting to develop trusted relationships with key clients, becoming the day-to-day contact, including responding to clients through email and leading client meetings/calls independently. Knows the status of all projects, ensures timelines are adhered to by all parties, and is proactive about supporting team members to meet deadlines. Ability to discuss and refine project briefs with the client, and coordinate delivery across relevant internal and external stakeholders. Ability to offer strategic counsel to clients in a variety of situations. Solid understanding of our clients' organisations, to begin establishing contacts and grow our network. Ability to identify opportunities for organic growth within client organisations and work with senior leads to develop proposals. Brings fresh thinking and innovative approaches to new business generation, contributing to new business pitches. Ability to develop, track and adhere to budgets to ensure profitability of accounts. Supports account leads with monthly client forecasting and highlighting any capacity needs. Ability to effectively delegate work and support its delivery to account leads, while providing ongoing support and mentoring across accounts. Direct line management, including conducting performance reviews, professional development and promotion processes within the practice. A confident presenter to internal and external audiences, with good meeting and brainstorm facilitation skills.
