Mad Swans is now recruiting for a Group Finance Assistant to join our small Finance Team. This role will ensure all finance related day to day operational duties and tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and on time. As well as processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs and maintaining the finance system, this role will also prepare and complete financial reports as and when required. As the business grows, the Group Finance Assistant will also be instrumental in terms of supporting the integration of new sites and acquisitions to ensure all finance related processes and procedures are rolled out consistently. The Group Finance Assistant reports to the Finance Director and works closely with the Group Finance Manager and Group Payroll Manager.
What we can do for you:
- Ensure all invoices are sent to Xero for processing for all group entities
- Code and process all invoices accurately for approval
- Handle and deal with supplier and finance queries
- Create and send invoices for third party revenue streams such as events
- Ensure Xero is maintained and updated at all times
- Set up bank payments as required
- Actualise daily cash flow projections on a weekly basis for all group company bank accounts
- Bank Reconciliation
- Key supplier statement reconciliation
- Prepare financial reports as and when required
- Support and assist with departmental and site budgets reports in line with the annual budget process
- Handle membership and loyalty scheme paperwork, invoices and payments
- Ensure compliance in terms of GDPR and when dealing with bank procedures and processes
- General finance related administration
This is a full-time permanent position. The salary for this role is £32,000-£34,000/annum. Location – this is an onsite role and will be located at Mad Swans in the Mendips, Marsh Lane, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6TS. Travel Requirement - this role may require occasional travel to our current and future sites. Working Hours – the working hours will generally be core office hours, however, occasional evenings and weekend work may be required at times. Working Days – this role will predominantly work Monday to Friday.
Who we are looking for:
- Educated to A-Level or Degree Level
- Preferably qualified: AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) or above
- Experienced in terms of having previous finance or bookkeeping experience
- Ideally able to use Xero Accounting software
- Proficient in using Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Detailed orientated in terms of attention to detail and ability to be analytical
- Excited about being part of a new brand concept and growing team
- An excellent communicator
- Strong organisational skills and able to multi-task
- Confident, outgoing and well-presented
- Self-driven and highly motivated
- Happy and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, positive and resilient by nature
