Mad Swans is looking for a full-time Bar Team Leader to join our budding team. You will be the first person to step into this brand-new role based at our second site: Mad Swans in the South Downs, located in Blacknest near Farnham & Alton.
What we do:
We are experts in our field, committed to creating boundary-pushing social spaces that spark meaningful connections through play in nature. Mad Swans is a countryside hangout for mavericks, offering social play spanning Padel Tennis, Pickleball, Darts, Shuffleboard, and Golf. We focus on great food, with two distinct dining experiences: The Potting Shed and The Hangout.

As this is a brand-new role, you will step into a key position within a vibrant restaurant and bar team, leading by example and delivering excellent service. The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include:
- Working closely with the Assistant General Manager to oversee and run the Bar
- Covering the Restaurant Team Leader as required
- Delivering an amazing guest experience
- Proactively upselling within the Restaurant and Bar
- Promoting our Mad Swans Loyalty Programme
- Assisting with guest enquiries
- Ensuring the Restaurant and Bar is clean, tidy, and well-presented
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders
- Informing guests about potential allergens and dietary restrictions
- Ensuring prompt and courteous service of food and beverages
- Line managing and supervising the Bar Team Members
- Handling guest complaints and feedback
This is a full-time permanent position, working any five days out of seven, with earnings of £36,000-£38,000 per annum, including TRONC (Tips & Service Charge). The operational times will be from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm, and you will be required to work weekends regularly.
