MAD-HR is seeking HR Consultants at all levels, from entry-level to Senior, to join our team on a full-time, permanent hybrid basis, based in Ipswich, Suffolk (with flexibility to travel to clients across the region).

About the role:
As an HR Consultant, you will deliver outsourced HR support across the full employee lifecycle, from strategic planning to day-to-day operational advice. You will advise and support managers on employee relations, organisational change, and HR initiatives, while identifying potential learning and development needs to be addressed with our dedicated L&D team. Building trusted client relationships, representing MAD-HR externally, and identifying opportunities to add value are central to this role. You will work autonomously while collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality, consistent HR solutions. Working hours are 9am 5pm, with some flexibility for networking and events.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle, including strategic planning, employee relations, and change management.
- Design and implement People Plans and 90-day action plans tailored to client needs.
- Advise and support managers on complex employee issues and organisational change initiatives.
- Identify L&D needs and collaborate with the Learning & Development team to deliver tailored programmes.
- Build strong client relationships, identify opportunities to add value, and represent MAD-HR at external events.
About you:
As an HR Consultant, you will be CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5), ideally supported by a relevant degree, with at least 3 years experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or equivalent. You should have a strong commercial mindset, experience delivering HR initiatives across industries, excellent communication and influencing skills, and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice. Organised, resilient, proactive, and confident working autonomously, you will have a track record of achieving positive outcomes for clients. Experience in training delivery, HR systems/CRM, or AI in HR is desirable. You will need to have access to own car to travel to clients and events.
