Quantity Surveyor - Recladding Façade Experience Required in Essex

p Mad About Facades is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. /p p br /p p We are looking for someone with 4+ years’ experience, ideally with a strong background in recladding, façades and external envelope projects. /p p br /p p This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role, based from our office in Billericay, Essex, with the flexibility to work 1 - 2 days per week from home. /p p br /p p strong u About Us /u /strong /p p We are a friendly and growing team working across a range of façade, recladding and external envelope projects throughout the UK. /p p We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, commercially minded and willing to get involved. Most importantly, we want someone who will enjoy working as part of our team and contribute positively to the business. /p p br /p p strong u The Role /u /strong /p p You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of a range of façade and recladding projects, working closely with our directors, project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors. /p p Your responsibilities will include: /p ul li Managing projects commercially from tender through to completion /li li Preparing and reviewing cost plans, estimates and tenders /li li Preparing and managing valuations and applications for payment /li li Managing variations, change control and subcontractor accounts /li li Reviewing contracts, scopes and commercial risks /li li Cost reporting and forecasting /li li Procurement and tendering /li li Preparing and agreeing final accounts /li li Identifying commercial opportunities and risks /li li Working closely with project and site teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully /li li Attending site visits where required /li /ul p br /p p strong u About You /u /strong /p p We are looking for someone who has: /p ul li 4+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience /li li Experience within recladding, façades, external envelope projects /li li Strong knowledge of construction contracts, valuations, variations and final accounts /li li Good commercial awareness and attention to detail /li li Excellent communication and negotiation skills /li li The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently /li li A practical understanding of construction and site operations /li li Good IT skills /li li Live within commutable distance to our offices in Billericay, Essex /li /ul p br /p p strong u Desirable: /u /strong /p ul li Experience working for a façade contractor, main contractor or specialist subcontractor would be highly advantageous. /li li A full driving licence is not essential but is highly desirable as occasional site visits may be required across the country. /li /ul p br /p p strong u What We Offer /u /strong /p ul li Competitive salary, dependant on experience /li li Hybrid working, typically 1 - 2 days per week working from home /li li 25 days’ annual leave to start, increasing with length of service /li li Optional private pension scheme /li li Optional private medical/ health insurance /li li Working hours generally 9 - 5, although some flexibility may be required depending on project and business needs /li li Training and professional development opportunities, with training costs considered for the right individual following successful completion of probation /li li Opportunities for progression within a growing specialist façade contractor /li li A varied role with involvement in projects from tender through to completion /li /ul p br /p p Interested? /p p br /p p We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals.
