Mad About Facades is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. We are looking for someone with 4+ years’ experience, ideally with a strong background in recladding, façades and external envelope projects. This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role, based from our office in Billericay, Essex, with the flexibility to work 1 - 2 days per week from home.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of a range of façade and recladding projects, working closely with our directors, project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects commercially from tender through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing cost plans, estimates and tenders
- Preparing and managing valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations, change control and subcontractor accounts
- Reviewing contracts, scopes and commercial risks
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Procurement and tendering
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Identifying commercial opportunities and risks
- Working closely with project and site teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Attending site visits where required
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- 4+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience within recladding, façades, external envelope projects
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- A practical understanding of construction and site operations
- Good IT skills
- Live within commutable distance to our offices in Billericay, Essex
Desirable:
- Experience working for a façade contractor, main contractor or specialist subcontractor would be highly advantageous.
- A full driving licence is not essential but is highly desirable as occasional site visits may be required across the country.
