Join Mactech Energy Group as a TIG/MMA Welder (Dayshift) for long-term opportunities on the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project in Bridgwater, Somerset. Enjoy a 4-day working week (Mon - Thurs) with gross earnings of over £82K.
We're looking for:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Qualified to Level 2 / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds in Welding
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
- Able to test to ISO 9606 standards (tests depend on your experience):
- SWQ-02 Butt Weld - 2" carbon steel pipe weld - 6G position - All TIG
- SWQ-02 Fillet Weld - 2" carbon steel pipe to plate - horizontal position - TIG
- SWQ-04 Butt Weld - 2" stainless steel pipe weld - 6G position - All TIG
- SWQ-04 Fillet Weld - 2" stainless steel pipe to plate - horizontal position - TIG
- SWQ-70 Box to Plate - structural steel - horizontal position - MMA
PAYE Rates (Advanced Craft 5 - ECSA Site Agreement):
- Dayshift Rate: £28.18/hr
- OT1: £39.46/hr
- OT2: £50.73/hr
- Bonus: Up to £2.82/hr
- Lodge Allowance: £50.81/day (£355.67/week)
- Travel: Return rail fare + travel time
