Job Purpose / Overview

To support the IPCM Delivery Manager in providing a comprehensive and professional programme and project management service to all appropriate stakeholders to facilitate the successful delivery of IPCM Programmes and Integrated Projects with potential to take the lead in managing a sub-set of projects.

The post holder will be expected to work across other work streams and line management boundaries to ensure effective and successful delivery of IPCM programme.

You have a solid understanding of configuration control principles and are comfortable working across multiple disciplines to ensure alignment between As-Required, As-Designed, As-Built, and As-Commissioned baselines.

You thrive in a complex project environment, can manage competing priorities, and can drive actions to closure while maintaining a clear focus on configuration integrity and governance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate

  • Experience in Configuration Management, Project Controls, Systems Engineering, or Programme Management environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and communicate configuration deltas and associated risks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple functions.
  • Experience preparing and presenting management reports, dashboards, and governance board materials.
  • Data analyst skills, to be autonomous to extract and analyse data from different tools (UK-DC, Asset Suite 9, OPM, Switch,) for the monthly update
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review, challenge, and improve data quality.
  • Ability to track actions and ensure timely closure of commitments.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary stakeholders including Design, Engineering, Commissioning, Operations, Project Controls, and Delivery teams.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles and governance activities.
  • Confidence in producing concise management summaries, meeting minutes, reports, and recommendations.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation

The post holder will be based in Aztec West Office but will need to make visits to counterparts in the Bridgewater Offices and occasionally to HPC Site.

A degree of hybrid working can be considered after an initial training/development period.

Principal Accountabilities

The IPCM System Elementary Test E2E Delivery Lead is responsible for supporting governance, reporting, and configuration management activities across the programme.

The role coordinates board operations, stakeholder engagement, configuration status reporting, delta management, assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effective configuration control and compliance.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing IPCM Board governance activities, including preparation of presentations, reporting packs, action tracking, meeting minutes, and decision records.
  • Coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders, including Design, Delivery, Commissioning, Nuclear Safety, and Control Tower teams, to ensure effective communication and consistent reporting.
  • Leading the monthly Configuration Status Update process by collecting, validating, consolidating, and reporting configuration data, KPIs, risks, programme impacts, and deltas across As Required, As Designed, and As Built configurations.
  • Analysing configuration differences, facilitating resolution activities, and presenting delta assessments and mitigation recommendations to governance forums.
  • Supporting assurance and compliance activities through the planning, coordination, and management of self-assessments and audit engagements.
  • Driving learning and continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned, managing improvement actions, and maintaining reporting within organisational systems.
  • Providing configuration management support to wider governance and review activities, ensuring alignment with Change Control, Data Management, and ISGR requirements
  • This role requires strong stakeholder management, governance coordination, data analysis, reporting, and organisational skills, with the ability to operate across multiple teams to support effective configuration management and programme delivery.
  • In addition, the post-holder may be required to perform other tasks relevant for the project or to the personal development of the post holder.

  • Experience preparing governance board packs, reports, action trackers, and meeting minutes.

  • Experience in major infrastructure, nuclear, defence, or other regulated industries is desirable.
