Principal Accountabilities
- Contract & Commercial Management: Supervise the execution and performance of the NSA contract PI services.
- Lead the management of Early Warnings, ensuring correct responses and managing risks where required.
- Manage Compensation Events and Variations jointly with the NSA Commercial team, ensuring consistency of treatment across PI-related topics.
- Provide scope challenge, cost insight, and value assessment for PI services additional requests and contract changes acting as the 'gate keeper' and 'controlling mind' for Task Order activities and requests for change.
- Escalate issues to senior management where required.
Scope Ownership & Delivery Assurance:
- Manage the end-to-end PI contract scope, acting as the primary point of contact within the NSA team.
- Ensure contractor deliverables meet NSA expectations in:
- replication suitability & configuration rules
- 3D model strategy, updates & contractual requirements
- data & tools integration (CTS, Switch, etc.)
- engineering product integration processes
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with the SZC Engineering Integration team and the Contractor's Discipline leads (config, model, replication, digital, design change, etc.).
- Act as the trusted counterpart to the Contractor's contract management team.
- Liaise with other parts of the NSA team and wider Technical Directorate on transverse issues.
- Represent the SZC NSA team in relevant meetings and reporting forums with Engineering Integration and the Contractor as required.
- Work closely with the Programme Engineering Managers across the programmes to ensure the consistent application of engineering delivery by the NSA Contractor.
- Liaise and work with the Nuclear Services teams and service managers where required in order to discharge their responsibilities on the EI scope.
Reporting & Governance:
- Report on key contract metrics (financial, technical and schedule) information to drive progress and assess performance.
- Liaise with internal and external interfaces to capture and report on requests impacting the overall budget baseline and delivery.
- Contribute to the PI scope reporting as part of the regular SZC monthly reporting cycle, including where NSA expectations, metrics or contractual delivery needs to be reinforced.

Knowledge & Skills
- Essential:
- 5 years' experience working on major infrastructure projects, ideally within the Nuclear industry.
- Strong contract management experience with exposure to technical governance processes.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical topics and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to drive clarity in ambiguous technical and contractual areas.
- Good communications/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Being adaptive to change.
- Able to carry out multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Strong IT skills in particular the use of MS Office package.
- Ability to work independently and within a wider team.
- Being pro-active in resolving issues and escalating where required.
- PMI-certified or equivalent Project Management qualification preferred.
- Familiarity with nuclear industry standards and EPR design principles.
- Understanding of configuration management principles, digital modelling tools, and catalogue-based contracting.
- An understanding of the commercial aspects of major project delivery.
- French speaking (beneficial, but not essential).
- Prior experience working on the HPC project (beneficial, but not essential).
- Experience of the pre-tender and tender stages of procuring contracts for the design, manufacturing and/or installation of industrial equipment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with focus on scalability and repeatable processes.
- Chartered, or working towards chartership, with a recognised institution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Degree in Engineering/ Science.
