Job Title: Setting Out Engineers - Days Pay: Between £300 - £500 per day Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset Job ID: 407 Job description Will are looking for Setting out Engineer for Hinkley Point C, one of the countries largest construction projects. The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for accurately marking and establishing the position of concrete structures, buildings and foundations, and other features on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction drawings, surveying techniques, and the ability to use precision instruments to ensure that the construction work meets design specifications. Duties and Responsibilities - Conduct precise measurements and surveying to determine the exact location of structures, foundations, roads, and other features on construction sites. - Interpret construction drawings and plans to guide the setting out process. - Mark reference points and benchmarks on-site for construction activities. - Use total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying instruments to set out the layout of structures and infrastructure elements. - Setting out structures and support rebar and pre-pour inspections - Record and document survey data, measurements, and setting out information using total station or Trimble - Adhere to health and safety regulations on construction sites. - Identify and mitigate potential hazards related to setting out activities. Skills and Experience - 3 years proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on construction projects. - Experience of setting out concreate structures and foundations - Proficient in the use of surveying equipment such as total station, Trimble GPS, and levelling instruments. - Worked on large infrastructure [project and understands main contractor responsibilities TPBN1_UKTJ
