Overview

MacTaggart Scott are recruiting a Driver/Facilities Assistant. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, this role is integral to maintaining our high standards and supporting our daily operations. The purpose of this role is mainly to assist with driving and day to day garage and facilities duties however the successful candidate will, at times, be responsible for the safety and security of the works and office premises as well as welcoming visitors to the Company and answering incoming calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keep our fleet of company cars clean and well-maintained
  • Chauffeuring: Provide driving services as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation
  • Security: Welcome visitors with a friendly demeanor, manage incoming calls, and ensure the safety and security of our office premises
  • Logistics: Handle loading, delivering, and collecting equipment, along with running various errands
  • Ground Maintenance: Assist with basic ground maintenance tasks to keep our premises looking their best
  • Mail Handling: Collect and deliver mail efficiently
  • Facility Support: Provide general facility support as needed to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Valid Full UK Driving Licence: A must-have for this role
  • Safety Conscious: Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly
  • Self-Motivated: Capable of working independently and taking initiative
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication skills both over the phone and face-to-face
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using a PC, including email
  • Observant and Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Flexible: Willingness to cover for colleagues during sickness and holidays, demonstrating full flexibility

The successful candidate must hold or be able to meet the appropriate Security Clearance as required.
