The predicted salary is between 28800 - 42000 £ per year.

The role is to work as part of a fast-paced fabrication team within a busy and innovative engineering workshop. The successful candidate will report directly to the Welding and Fabrication Manager, with a high level of autonomy within the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all relevant information and paperwork within the work order are available before starting.
  • Verify that issued materials match the requirements of drawings and work order information sheets.
  • Check that the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) aligns with drawings and weld logs.
  • Confirm all welding consumables issued are correct according to the WPS and suitable for the job.
  • Complete cladding according to specifications (Manual and Auto Clad).
  • Record and complete paperwork associated with work packs.
  • Maintain high standards of Health and Safety and housekeeping.
  • Perform any other tasks you are trained for or delegated by line managers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read engineering/technical drawings and produce work to specification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, using initiative and planning ahead.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Self-motivated with a good work ethic and attention to detail.
