The Quality Engineer role itself is a hands-on, staff-level position working closely with the Quality Manager on a permanent PM shift. Your responsibilities will include supporting new product introductions, investigating quality issues, and implementing sustainable solutions. You’ll play a key role in developing the Quality Operating System and embedding a genuine quality culture throughout the organisation.

  • Support and challenge existing quality processes and procedures
  • Conduct process and system audits, manage non-compliance issues
  • Own and maintain process control plans and work instructions
  • Perform daily product audits, including material testing and X-ray analysis
  • Support metrology activities and host customer SQA inspections
  • Build strong internal relationships to promote quality excellence

You will have:

  • A solid understanding of quality management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with TS16949 and extensive knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, APQP, PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, SPC, error proofing, and control plans
  • Proven ability to investigate problems and implement effective, lasting solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to coach and influence colleagues on quality best practices

You will get:

  • A competitive salary in the range of £38,000 to £43,000 + Package
  • Permanent position with plenty of scope for career progression
  • PM shift pattern: Monday to Thursday, 13:45 - 21:30, and Friday, 13:15 - 21:15
  • 33 days holiday entitlement
