The Racking Inspector/Rack Inspector job itself, where your primary role is to undertake inspections and safety checks of racking systems, and write reports. More specifically:
- Carrying out on-site, ground level safety checks in warehouses/stores
- Notifying customer contact of any immediate H&S issues observed
- Explaining to the customer any poor housekeeping practices
- Adhering to customer’s on-site H&S rules
- Accurately recording damage, including measurements and description of damaged components
- Writing detailed written reports in line with SEMA templates
- Very occasional work at height (usually via scissor lift or crane)
- Ensuring details taken to allow for safe working loads to be calculated as/when required
You will have
To be successful as Racking Inspector you will be SEMA approved or be experienced within pallet racking, looking for career development and working towards a SEMA qualification.
The Rack Inspector will have excellent product knowledge within pallet racking and shelving and an extensive understanding of SEMA & Health& Safety guidelines.
The successful candidate will ideally be based in Scotland but the role will involve regular travel throughout the North of England.
