The Mechanical Contracts Manager job itself involves overseeing the planning, coordinating and execution of mechanical, plumbing, building services projects ranging in value from £50K to £5 million. More specifically:
- Managing procurement processes to include: developing technical specifications, drawings, plant/equipment schedules, and documentation etc.
- Managing sub-contractors, site activities, procurement and supplier ordering.
- Attending site meetings, resolving site issues, organising commissioning and handover documentation.
- Ensuring timely delivery of all projects.
- Understanding and organising interfaces between mechanical and electrical works, trades etc.
- Utilising AutoCAD.
To be successful as Mechanical Contracts Manager here, you will have experience working within the Building Services Sector as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or M&E Manager. Plus a healthy mix of the following:
- 5+ years UK experience in design & construction of M&E/HVAC.
- Good track record running projects to £5M+.
- Experience in procurement, cost management etc.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects efficiently ensuring on-time delivery.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in mechanical building services.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Familiarity with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Commercially aware.
- Team player and able to fit into the wider MEP team.
As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will enjoy a salary of £60K-£65K+ plus package. Benefits include: company car/car allowance, laptop, mobile phone, pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
