The Monday – Thursday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM & Friday 06:30 - 12:30 PM, Production Manager/Assembly Manager role involves taking full ownership of production across 10+ CNC machines and 20+ team members. You will lead and develop a team of CNC Team Leaders and operators, ensuring the department delivers safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The role is accountable for production output, operator performance, housekeeping standards, recruitment and onboarding of new staff, and the ongoing development of the team. Working with the maintenance function, you will also oversee the overall condition, servicing, and upkeep of CNC machinery.
You will have:
- Proven leadership experience managing CNC operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment (essential/strongly advantageous).
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining, programming, tooling, and process optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate teams to achieve production excellence.
- Hands-on experience of Lean manufacturing and leading continuous improvement projects.
- Understanding of OEE, SQCDP, or other performance measurement tools.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to balance daily operations with long-term improvements.
