You will be delivering mechanical building services projects from Keighley, Bradford/Leeds, for this national mechanical & electrical contractor with a reputation for quality and attention to detail. They are in an excellent position currently and have a healthy pipeline, justifying sustainable growth. The initial project is a landmark data centre job which will be strategic for your career.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all activities within your area of control are engineered to specification, and delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction. Scope includes the Project Management, Coordination, Installation and commissioning of large scale MEP, HVAC & specialist mechanical systems retrofit for a large hospital/healthcare facility. Value of initial client/project is £10M+.
More specifically:
- Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability
- Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer’s requirements
- Lead the identification of project risks and opportunities, and take responsibility to mitigate or enhance those in your control
- Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives
- Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the Project Manager and Commercial Lead
- Manage any sub-contract resource if applicable
- Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximising performance and ensuring objectives are met
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships
- Ensure project is closed out in accordance with customer requirements, maximising project profitability
You will have experience working within the Building Services Sector as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Site Manager, MEP Manager or M&E Manager, along with a healthy mix of the following:
- Industry recognised trade or professional mechanical qualification
- Specific experience on high value mechanical building service projects (£10m)
