The Energy Project Manager/Senior Energy Consultant will support a growing portfolio of commercial and retail clients with M&E/HVAC projects along the M4 corridor.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, developing a deep understanding of operational and energy management needs
- Deliver building services, energy and performance audits across commercial office and retail portfolios
- Identify and implement energy efficiency and carbon reduction opportunities
- Provide ongoing technical account management and client support
- Oversee contractor activity on behalf of clients
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of energy and M&E projects, from concept to completion
- Prepare project plans, technical specifications, budgets and delivery schedules
- Undertake site‑based surveys across multiple UK locations
- Ensure compliance with building services regulations, design standards and statutory frameworks
- Produce high‑quality technical reports and performance documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, energy managers and internal delivery teams
- Mentor junior engineers and consultants, supporting professional development
- Provide accurate financial reporting and work with finance teams to ensure cost control
To be successful as Energy Project Manager/Senior Energy Consultant, you will have a healthy mix of the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical/building services engineering or energy consultancy
- Strong understanding of HVAC and/or refrigeration systems, including design principles and operation
- Solid knowledge of building services, energy efficiency and decarbonisation strategies
- Proven delivery of M&E or energy‑related projects
- Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups) and strong MS Office proficiency
- Full UK driving licence
- Based along or within commuting distance of the M4 corridor (Swindon to London)
