The Geotechnical Engineer position itself involves providing expert site-based support during the critical construction phase of a large-scale dam project. To succeed as a Geotechnical Engineer on this project, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Geotechnical Engineer on major infrastructure projects, preferably dam, hydropower, or large civil engineering works.
  • Strong knowledge of ground engineering, earthworks, and heavy infrastructure construction methodologies.
  • Experience in designing, inspecting, or managing retaining walls and slope stability works.
  • Experience working within live construction environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within an international, multidisciplinary team.
