Adventure Sales Specialist £24,570 plus uncapped commission (£7k OTE) and bonus Glasgow, UK (hybrid - 3x per week in office)

What you’ll do

Working alongside the other talented members of the Macs Sales team, the Adventure Sales Specialist role is to ensure that the customer has an unforgettable experience throughout their journey with Macs Adventure from initial enquiry to on-trip support. After completion of a training programme, you will be required to respond to different types of customer enquiries and convert these into confirmed bookings. You will be organised to follow up on your calls and leads whilst being able to take on new enquiries through phone, email and live chat. Deliver a high level of customer experience as you will be the first contact a customer has with Macs. Achieve and exceed personal and team targets without compromising the customer journey. After 6 months, work towards becoming a destination specialist. Be able to prioritise new enquiries and customers questions which can increase during our season. After 12 months be fully competent in the Sales Process, be able to adapt to the different priorities the departure season brings.

  • A keen interest in travel and passion for learning about new destinations.
  • Able to work under pressure, motivated to achieve targets and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Able to self-organise and manage competing priorities.
  • A strong team player, you understand the importance of collaboration and support your colleagues and the company in achieving shared goals.
  • Must be in the Glasgow area.
  • The position offers a hybrid office and work from home model with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remote work.
  • Able to multitask, prioritise and establish deadlines to ensure competing objectives are met.
  • Interpersonal and team skills which enable you to build great relationships internally and externally.
  • Highly confident, competent and articulate individual who can communicate professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced and fluent in using IT systems such as email, livechat, phones, booking/company systems and MS office suite.
  • Learning orientated.
  • Resilient and flexible.
  • A hands‐on individual willing to go the extra mile for customers, colleagues and the business.
  • Creative thinking, adaptability and communication skills are key skills for any role.

Not essential, it would be a bonus if you have

  • Previous experience in the travel industry.
  • German Language skills.
