Job Overview
The Senior Human Resources Manager / Project Management role is both a strategic partner and an operational leader, responsible for driving key people initiatives across the organization. This position blends deep HR generalist expertise with strong project management capability to deliver programs that elevate culture, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and enhance the overall employee experience. With a solid understanding of UK employment law and experience supporting global teams, you will help shape an inclusive and scalable people strategy. This role requires sound judgment, a peopleâfirst mindset, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple regions.
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, advising on workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and change management.
- Develop people strategies that align with business goals across UK, U.S., and global teams.
- Coach managers on performance, team dynamics, communication, and HRârelated decisionâmaking with an inclusive, culturally aware approach.
HR Generalist Expertise
- Provide comprehensive support across performance management, talent calibration, compensation cycles, and offboarding.
- Manage employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and policy guidance while ensuring compliance with UK employment laws.
- Maintain upâtoâdate knowledge of employment legislation and proactively adjust policies and practices.
Project Management & Program Delivery
- Lead crossâfunctional HR and organisational projects (e.g., total rewards, career ladders, performance model redesign, HRIS optimisation, policy harmonisation, global culture initiatives).
- Create and drive project plans, timelines, communications, and success metrics.
- Coordinate with global teams to ensure programmes are culturally sensitive and scalable.
Culture, Engagement & Change Management
- Partner with leaders to strengthen team culture, ways of working, and crossâgeography collaboration.
- Drive change initiatives through clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and high visibility.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Use people analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across regions.
- Prepare monthly dashboards and executiveâlevel insights to support evidenceâbased decisionâmaking.
- Streamline HR processes across the global footprint to improve consistency, compliance, and the overall employee experience.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years of progressive HR generalist experience; prior experience supporting UK and/or global teams required or strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance obligations.
- Demonstrated project management experience leading multiâstakeholder initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication, consulting, and relationshipâbuilding skills, including executiveâlevel communication and storytelling.
- High integrity, discretion, and sound decisionâmaking.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity with confidence.
- Inclusive, collaborative, and peopleâcentred leadership style.
- Global HR experience beyond the UK (e.g., U.S., EMEA, APAC) is a plus.
- Experience in Fintech, Private Equity, or fastâpaced midâmarket environments is beneficial.
- HR certifications (SPHR, SHRMâSCP, CIPD) preferred but not required.
