About The Role
We’re looking for a capable and confident People Advisor who thrives at the operational heart of HR, and is passionate about helping shape the colleague experience. This is a full generalist role in which you will be the first point of contact for colleagues and managers, providing dependable guidance, managing core people processes, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality employee experience across the UK and Europe.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Provide comprehensive support and guidance to employees and senior stakeholders on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coach and advise managers on the management of formal and informal performance cases.
- Lead end-to-end employee relations cases across the UK and Europe to ensure fair, timely, and well-documented outcomes in matters relating to capability, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
- Manage new client outsourcing arrangements, including Tupe consultations, due diligence and onboarding activities.
- Act as a custodian of people data, using metrics and insights to support proactive decision-making and identify trends.
- Participate in people projects and initiatives to enhance employee capability, engagement, and overall workplace culture.
- Support the People Services team with operational activities such as payroll, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, management, and responding to employee queries through the case management system.
Key Competencies:
- Experience in a People Advisor or similar HR generalist role, ideally across multi-site or multi-country environments.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law, with exposure to European employment practices considered an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A calm and credible communication style that builds trust with managers and colleagues.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficiency in HR systems and the Microsoft Office Suite; previous experience using Sage would be advantageous.
- Confidence in managing high volumes of data and employee queries.
- The ability to present yourself in a polished and professional manner.
About You
This role is suited to a capable HR professional who is solutions‑focused, calm under pressure, and comfortable balancing day‑to‑day delivery with more complex employee‑relations work. You will work closely with the wider People team to ensure our policies, processes, and culture support everyday excellence. You will be confident operating in a professional, commercially focused environment and have a proven track record of building strong relationships within a fast‑paced, client‑centered business. Exposure to employment practices across Europe, as well as experience supporting teams across multiple locations and geographies, would be advantageous. Being conversant in one or more European languages is desirable.
