About The Role
We are hiring an ambitious and forward‑thinking Senior Commercial Manager to join our established and growing team in the UK. This role leads the delivery of commercially sound and competitive pricing for new bids and contract retentions, supporting Macro's growth strategy. You will head the pricing workstream on complex bids, collaborating with the Bid team, suppliers, and subject matter experts to develop winning submissions while identifying commercial opportunities and risks throughout the process. You will actively seek innovative pricing solutions, provide commercial oversight and challenge during solution design, and review subcontractor quotations. Additionally, you will support the Head of Commercial Pricing in ensuring compliance with relevant standards, policies, and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end development of commercially sound pricing solutions that aligns with RFP and contract requirements, considering identified risks and opportunities across all bid types, including large and complex commercial projects.
- Provide commercial pricing solutions for small and medium‑size opportunities, and lead larger, complex bids under the supervision of the Head of Commercial Pricing.
- Analyse subcontractor pricing, identify and close potential gaps, and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Deliver pricing analysis insights and scenario modeling to present commercial options to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the work‑winning team and other business functions to develop compelling and competitive solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of various commercial models.
- Support the maintenance of detailed benchmarking data for both internal and external use.
- Manage global benchmarking data to ensure it can be effectively used in pricing comparisons for new opportunities.
About You
- Experience in commercial pricing and a solid understanding of various commercial models.
- The ability to construct and modify financial models to meet different business needs.
- Strong digital competency, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous commercial experience, ideally within the FM industry (though not essential).
- Training in Contract Law (desirable).
- Experience using procurement systems.
- A good understanding of FM compliance.
