About The Role We are seeking an ambitious and technically capable
AI & Automation Manager to drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, automation, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives across the business.
The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, eliminate manual processes, enhance decision‑making through analytics, and implement AI‑powered solutions that deliver measurable business value.
The role bridges business operations and technology, working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions using modern platforms such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform, Azure AI, data analytics tools, and automation technologies.
Solutions will be implemented at the heart of Macro’s facilities management operations — including CAFM and helpdesk systems, asset registers, and building data — so an understanding of how facilities management operates on a day‑to‑day basis is central to the role.
- Main Job Responsibilities
- AI & Automation Delivery
- Identify and assess opportunities for AI and automation across business functions.
- Design, develop, test and deploy automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and related technologies.
- Build AI‑enabled solutions that improve productivity, customer experience, and operational performance.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts (Po Cs) and pilot initiatives to validate new technologies and business benefits, and progress successful pilots through a POC → Beta → Production pathway with appropriate testing, security, and scalability.
- Maintain an innovation pipeline and prioritise opportunities based on impact and feasibility.
- Business Process Improvement
- Analyse existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies.
- Map current and future‑state processes and recommend automation strategies.
- Eliminate manual tasks through workflow automation and intelligent process design.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through technology enablement.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work with operational teams, business leaders, and subject matter experts to understand business challenges.
- Present recommendations, business cases, and project outcomes to stakeholders.
- Deliver training and support to encourage the adoption of new technology solutions.
- Governance & Innovation
- Support the responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
- Ensure solutions comply with information security, data protection, and governance requirements.
- Monitor emerging AI, automation and analytics trends, and recommend opportunities for adoption.
- Contribute to the organisation's wider digital transformation strategy.
About You
The ideal candidate will have
- Technical
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI).
- Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Chat GPT, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of workflow automation and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with structured data and reporting tools.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and digital technologies.

- Ability to engage effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong requirements‑gathering and documentation skills.
- Experience developing business cases and conducting ROI assessments.

- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R or similar analytical tools.
- Experience implementing enterprise AI solutions.
