Join our dynamic and growing Commodities and Global Markets Group as a Business Operational Risk Manager. Our team consists of Operational Risk specialists, who support our business globally on complex trading risks, to ensure that the key operational risks are being effectively managed and monitored. You will use your commodities trading knowledge and analytical skills to provide expert advice on front line trading risks for the Gas, Power and Carbon desks. You will support and facilitate the continued improvement of processes, controls and operational risk awareness and culture across our businesses. As a subject matter expert you will partner with the trading desks and leverage your technical expertise to develop a comprehensive knowledge of all processes to proactively manage the operational risks. You will provide advice on a broad range of risk matters, assess new product and business initiatives, investigate incidents and test effectiveness of controls.
What you offer:
- 5+ years experience in non-financial risk management, with Operational Risk highly regarded.
- Experience in commodity markets, with experience in Gas, Power and Carbon markets a plus.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with senior business and risk colleagues to drive, challenge, and influence, as well as lead conversations regarding anticipated and emerging issues.
- A track record of developing relationships.
- High achievement drive, with strong resilience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
