What role will you play? Working closely with business teams across Macquarie Asset Management, you will provide practical and commercially focused compliance advice that supports the origination, distribution and ongoing management of real estate and real assets investment strategies. Reporting to the EMEA Real Assets and Real Estate Compliance Lead, you will partner with stakeholders across the business and global compliance teams to help ensure regulatory requirements are clearly understood and effectively embedded into transactions, funds and strategic initiatives. Through monitoring and escalating key compliance risks, supporting regulatory obligations and contributing to a robust compliance framework, you will play an important role in helping the business operate confidently in a dynamic regulatory environment. Alongside this, you will deliver compliance training, share insights on regulatory developments and support strategic projects, helping strengthen compliance awareness and enable informed decision‑making across the organisation. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require three days a week in our advertised location.

What You Offer

  • Experience in a compliance role within asset management, ideally with exposure to real estate or real assets investment strategies
  • Knowledge of UK and European regulatory frameworks and the ability to apply regulatory requirements in a practical, business‑focused manner
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships across business teams and governance forums
  • Commercial judgement and analytical thinking, with the ability to balance regulatory obligations and business objectives while managing risk effectively
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning across areas such as AIFMD II, MiFID II, Market Abuse Regulation, cross‑border marketing requirements and ESG‑related regulations
