Join Macquarie's Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) First Line Risk Management Team, supporting the Commodity Markets and Finance (CMF) business. Working directly with the end-to-end business stakeholders to ensure the key non-financial risks are being effectively identified, assessed, managed and monitored. Facilitating the continued improvement in processes, controls, risk awareness and culture across the CMF value chain.

With a strong background in physical and financial commodities markets, you will be required to partner with the trading and commodity financing desks and leverage your experience to develop a deep knowledge of the front-to-back business processes. Responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, reporting and managing the associated non-financial risks. You will also be involved in providing advice on a broad range of risk matters, assessing new product- and business initiatives, investigating incidents, testing the effectiveness of controls and supporting actions arising from regulatory reviews and audits. Day-to-day you will own risk actions and issues for resolution, influencing and collaborating with stakeholders from across the deal lifecycle to mitigate risks appropriately.
What you offer:
- 6+ years' experience in physical and financial commodity markets, with exposure to physical oil, ags, base and/or precious metal trading/financing highly regarded.
- A demonstrable understanding of non-financial risks in a regulated business, including key regulatory requirements, and ability to contribute to robust control design. Hands-on risk management experience is advantageous.
- A strong relationship builder with the ability to quickly build credibility and trust with a broad range of stakeholders, applying an innovative risk mindset to constructively challenge thinking.
- A high achievement drive, with strong resilience and tenacity.
