Join our London-based generalist advisory team, where you will operate within a culture that prioritises early responsibility and direct execution experience. Interns work as core members of lean deal teams, supporting M&A, capital raising, and strategic mandates across diverse sectors and geographies in the UK, Europe, and globally. We are seeking high-achieving, intellectually curious students who demonstrate technical rigor and a drive for excellence to join us for a 4 to 6-month internship beginning in September 2026 or January 2027.

What role will you play? As an off-cycle intern, you will experience first-hand how we are helping our clients and partners realise opportunity as part of our Macquarie Capital team. Your responsibilities could include:

  • Analysing potential investment opportunities
  • Financial modelling
  • Creating approval papers
  • Internal and external presentations
  • Market analysis
  • Providing due diligence support

Subject to deal flow, you will also assist in the originating and executing of live transactions across industry sectors including Software and Services; Consumer, Gaming and Leisure; Technology, Media and Telecommunications and more.

What you offer:

  • You are a student in your final year of university (bachelor or master), or a recent graduate.
  • You have strong analytical and numerical skills that put you at ease with financial data, and are able to articulate complex ideas simply and summarise them effectively.
  • You are results-driven, perform well under pressure against tight deadlines, and are a proven team player, able to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
  • You have an excellent academic background and fluency in English. Other European languages are a plus.
  • 6 to 12 months of prior internship experience in M&A or private equity is preferred.
