Our Client Solutions Group is responsible for Macquarie Asset Management’s investor interface across product development, capital raising and investor relations. The team covers the world’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors globally, including Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, UHNW individuals and Foundations. This is a newly created role to lead the global institutional Product Development function for Macquarie Asset Management’s Private Credit business. You will develop a rolling 3-year view and pipeline on Private Credit product innovation, new investment strategies and product vehicles that can be launched, remodelled or optimised. You will be responsible for identifying product opportunities and then developing, structuring and executing them, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities and that our product range remains competitive and contemporary, taking into account relevant competing product launches and evolving regulatory changes. You will prepare, review and negotiate key client-facing legal documentation, oversee the new product approval process, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriateness of products for markets and channels, both Institutional and Wealth. You will also serve as an inclusive leader, motivating and empowering the team, delegating effectively, and developing and recruiting talent.
What You Offer
- 12+ years’ experience in product structuring and innovation / solutions roles and a proven history of successfully delivering Private Credit products that have raised meaningful capital and delivered compelling investment outcomes to clients.
- Experience working across both Institutional and Wealth Private Credit products, ideally including structured finance products such as CLOs and ABF vehicles, and highly knowledgeable across all aspects of Private Credit fund/vehicle types and investor preferences. Knowledge of both EMEA and US structures preferred.
- Advanced understanding of fund and investor documentation, knowledgeable across EMEA and US tax, legal, regulatory, operational and client considerations.
- Excellent communicational skills and an ability to influence senior management and form internal and external relationships.
- A team leader, able to empower and develop others, direct strategic orientation and change, and manage projects, equally comfortable with execution and delegation.
- Well-networked across the industry, especially with service providers.
- Ideally holding tertiary qualifications, with CFA charterholders preferred.
