Our Commodities and Global Markets Business Credit Team in London is dedicated to managing the credit risk for a diverse portfolio of European and Asian trading counterparties. We work closely with various trading desks to understand the risk nature of transactions and ensure robust credit analysis and approval processes.
As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for covering a portfolio of trading counterparties and preparing detailed credit review memos. You will actively communicate with trading desks to fully understand transaction risks and meet with clients to assess their financial positions. Your role will involve trade documentation, financial analysis, credit exposure calculation, and proactive engagement with business units to identify innovative solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for the initialisation, review, and negotiation of credit risk and other risk clauses in trade documentation. You will also monitor counterparty and industry developments in real time, including conducting annual reviews of existing credit limits. Your ability to respond to trading requests daily and maintain accurate attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment is crucial to your success.
