Join our Global AI Engineering and Assurance team and help shape the future of responsible AI at Macquarie. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that AI systems across our organisation are trustworthy, scalable and compliant, driving innovation while safeguarding against risk. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
As an AI Assurance and Risk Specialist, you work at the forefront of Macquarie’s AI governance and assurance efforts. You plan and deliver targeted technical assurance engagements that validate real AI systems, ensuring they meet internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You translate complex regulatory frameworks into practical controls for delivery teams, and collaborate with stakeholders across our central service groups and operating groups to embed AI risk considerations into policies, engineering standards and governance processes. You also prepare executive-level dashboards and risk updates for senior leadership, promoting a culture of responsible AI use across the organisation. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require three days a week in our advertised location.
What You Offer
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and methodologies, including generative AI, large language models and agentic AI
- Knowledge of AI risk frameworks, governance and compliance standards such as NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001
- Experience delivering assurance engagements and validating AI lifecycle controls in regulated environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is preferred
