Job Description

Our Macquarie Capital team provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. It also undertakes in principal investing activities globally to support its client activities.

What role will you play?

As an intern with Macquarie Capital, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients and partners make opportunity reality through the innovative advice and flexible capital solutions .

Typical tasks include building and running financial models, drafting pitch presentations for clients, helping to run key transaction work streams on live deals and actively tracking share price movements, while monitoring industry news, trends and transaction updates.

We have opportunities in the following areas :

Coverage and Solutions specialise in advising clients on strategic and financial issues including M&A, divestments, takeover responses, debt and equity financing, capital management and restructuring across a range of sectors .

The following teams in Coverage and Solutions are currently offer ing Internship opportunities:

  • Infrastructure
  • We also have Generalist opportunities available, where you could work across desks covering Technology, Software or Services

What does our Programme offer?

Your nine-week programme will start with a tailored induction week providing you with the skills and knowledge we think you need to be successful.

As part of this programme, you'll :

  • Have the opportunity to gain insight into the financial services industry and build the technical skills and knowledge that will help you discover more for your career
  • Gain valuable experience and insight into your chosen business area,working closely withyourteam
  • Work side-by-side with business leaders andhave the chance tocollaborateon live projects and transactions from day one
  • Geton-the-job experience and hands-on training to help set you up for a successful career once you complete your studies.

What you offer

  • You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. This internship is for students in their penultimate year of study of an undergraduate or master's degree at the time of application, or undertaking a final year undergraduate and planning to undertake a Masters; andgraduating in 2027.
  • We welcome applications from students with all degree backgrounds in their penultimate year of study.
  • No prior financial experience is required , just an innate curiosity and eagerness to learn.
