About Financial Management, People and Engagement
Financial Management, People and Engagement (FPE) provides a single interface for Macquarie\’s businesses across key areas of people, strategy, communications, and financial management. Comprising two pillars—Financial Management and People and Engagement—it is responsible for managing the Group\’s financial, tax, and treasury activities and strategic priorities, fostering our culture through people and community engagement strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to protect and promote Macquarie\’s reputation globally.

Responsibilities
- Find creative solutions to last minute changes and requests.
- Use Cvent or similar event management platforms to manage invitations, registration websites, and event apps, ensuring seamless event experiences for attendees.
- Lead small to medium‑sized project teams to achieve outcomes.
- Pitch contract negotiations to pre‑event planning, onsite execution, budget management and post‑event reporting.
- Build and manage project plans, leading working groups to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the global Corporate Affairs team, contributing to larger, more complex event projects and taking ownership of ongoing administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a similar event management role, ideally within finance or a corporate environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, enabling you to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem‑solving and adaptability skills, allowing you to stay calm under pressure.
