Our Macquarie Global Legal and Governance Group Tech + Commercial team are high-performing individuals that provide legal and strategic advice as well deal execution capabilities on complex and high-value technology, corporate real estate and commercial transactions. As a Corporate Real Estate Lawyer, you will play a key role in supporting the Group deliver a world-class workplace experience across its offices in EMEA and the Americas.

What role will you play?

As a Corporate Real Estate Lawyer in the Group’s central Tech + Commercial Legal team, you will work in a dynamic and innovative environment supporting the commercial leases, office fitout projects and workplace experience services for our workplaces in EMEA and the Americas. Using your exceptional attention to detail, demonstrated risk management awareness and commercial acumen, you will ensure contracts with our landlords, subtenants, builders and commercial partners are reviewed, drafted and negotiated to be fit for purpose ensuring our Corporate Real Estate team are able to execute on their workplace strategies and legal and regulatory risks are effectively managed across the Group.

What you offer:

  • Admitted to practice in the United Kingdom with at least 5 years’ experience either in-house as a corporate real estate lawyer or in private practice in a property and/or construction team.
  • Expertise drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts dealing with commercial leases; construction projects; and other commercial arrangements.
  • An innovative mindset and be open to change.
  • The ability to work independently, coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Team player with a desire to provide quality client service to a range of internal clients with a diverse portfolio of commercial leasing, construction and commercial matters across EMEA and the Americas.
