Macquarie Asset Management is a leading global asset manager, trusted by institutions, individuals and communities to responsibly manage approximately $A720 billion in assets. For decades, we have partnered with governments, institutions, and investors to acquire, develop and operate the essential assets that underpin modern economies, while providing clients with a diverse range of investment solutions across real assets, real estate and credit.

As part of our digital transformation, we are harnessing the power of digital, data and AI to redefine how private markets are managed, scaled and serviced. We are building an integrated technology platform that unlocks value, improves performance and shapes the future of our portfolio through innovation and strategic insights - setting a new benchmark for technology‑enabled private‑markets investing.

You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play? As a Director leading discovery and owning the product strategy and roadmap for AI initiatives, you will drive global AI product development and program management for our Real Assets and Real Estate divisions. Collaborating with investment teams, you will identify AI opportunities that drive revenue growth, cost optimisation or material productivity gains, and help to build AI‑powered products that fundamentally change how our investment teams work, while helping to scale our existing capabilities. Managing and delivering programs from 0‑1 and 1‑10, you will establish prioritisation frameworks, enable governance, identify and manage delivery risks, and define outcome metrics. You will also partner with senior stakeholders across the business, influence investment professionals and technical teams to align on AI priorities, navigate competing stakeholder demands, and lead and develop a team of Business Analysts.

What you offer:

  • Experience in a transferable role, requiring a combination of structured problem solving and program management rigour, working within an Agile environment.
  • Fluent in AI and able to engage credibly in conversations about AI capabilities, LLMs, RAG, etc., and lead meaningful conversations on technical trade‑offs, delivery impact and effort‑value without needing to be the most technical person in the room.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of building trust in a complex, matrixed organisation, and evaluating and managing vendor relationships.
  • AI product experience gained from a financial institution, ideally supporting private markets.
  • Outcome‑driven, data‑led, commercially minded, capable of managing the full product lifecycle, and adept at product discovery and distilling user research into strategy.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us; if you’re excited about the role or working at Macquarie, we encourage you to apply.

What we offer:

  • 1 wellbeing leave day per year and a minimum of 25 days of annual leave.
  • 26 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of paid transition leave upon return to work and 6 weeks’ paid leave for secondary caregivers.
  • Paid fertility leave for those undergoing or supporting fertility treatment.
  • 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching.
  • Access to a wide range of salary sacrificing options.
  • Benefits and initiatives to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing including comprehensive medical and life insurance cover.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program, a robust behavioural health network with counselling and coaching services.
  • Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription.
  • Access to company funded emergency and backup dependent care services.
  • Recognition and service awards.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, dependent on role.
  • Reimbursement for work from home equipment.
