Join our Team at Macphie. Macphie is an internationally acclaimed family ingredient manufacturer, based out of Glenbervie in Aberdeenshire with facilities in Glasgow and the Midlands. We produce sauces, bakeries, ice‑cream toppings, plant‑based and gluten‑free offerings and partner with leading food brands.
As a Warehouse Technical Operative you will ensure that warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently, combining technical expertise with operational support. You will oversee the quality and integrity of raw materials and finished products stored in the warehouse. Working shift pattern Monday to Friday on a weekly rotation of early (06:00–14:30) and late (14:00–22:30) shifts with flexibility. A 5% late shift allowance is provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing products, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout all warehouse processes.
- Assist in training new warehouse staff on food safety protocols and SOPs.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
- Monitor the condition of storage areas, keeping them clean, organized and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or food manufacturing preferred.
- Understanding of food safety practices and quality control measures.
- Basic IT skills for inventory‑management systems.
